Knowing God MissionsCanadian Registered Charity

Who we are

A small Canadian charity with a clear calling

Together with believers across East Africa, we want to play our part in improving the quality of spiritual and physical life in some of the region’s most remote villages.

Our vision

Canada and East Africa, serving each other

We picture believers in Canada and their brothers and sisters across East Africa genuinely working together — in prayer, and in the everyday matters of life. What if a family in Canada and a family in Rwanda, Tanzania, or Uganda could each make the other richer: one in resources, both in faith?

That conviction shaped this charity from its first day. We are not a large agency. We are a community of volunteers, donors, and East African partners who believe the Gospel is good news for the whole person — soul, mind, and body. So we teach the Bible, we help children stay in school, and we put food on tables. Nothing we do falls outside those three commitments, because they are the charitable purposes we are registered for and the calling we are sure of.

Our five principles

How we serve

Truth. Teaching the truth of God’s Word — through radio programming, WhatsApp Bible study, and publications offered free to anyone who wants them.

Strength. Prayer at the centre: regular gatherings of worship, intercession, and testimony to God’s faithfulness, on both sides of the ocean.

Love. Meeting the basic needs of the most vulnerable in society — practically, respectfully, and in person through trusted local partners.

Fellowship. Fostering lasting friendship and community between Canadians and East Africans, because partnership is a relationship, not a transaction.

Outreach. Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ — the reason behind everything else we do.

Our people

Volunteer-run, on purpose

Knowing God Missions has no paid staff. Our board members, bookkeepers, and project volunteers all give their time freely — including our founder and director, Pastor Fidele Bolton. We keep our overhead deliberately small so that what you give goes where you gave it: to teaching, scholarships, and compassionate care in East Africa.

We are honest about what volunteer-run means, too: we move at the speed of faithful people with day jobs. What we promise is care, transparency, and follow-through — and reports you can actually read. You can meet our board and find our annual reports on the Accountability page.

We are always looking for people who want to help carry this mission: board members, bookkeepers, fundraisers, and storytellers. If that could be you, we would love to hear from you.
