Accountability & reports
Trust is earned. Here is our side of it.
Your generosity deserves more than gratitude — it deserves evidence. This page holds our registration, our purposes word for word, our reports and financial statements, and how your money actually reaches East Africa.

Our charitable purposes, word for word
Every program we run — and every dollar we spend — must fit inside the purposes in our articles of incorporation, as amended in 2025 and filed with Corporations Canada:
“To relieve poverty by providing food, water and other basic necessities to persons of low income or in need in Africa.”
“To advance education by providing publicly available scholarships to secondary school students from low-income households in Africa.”
“To advance religion by preaching and teaching the religious tenets, doctrines, and observances associated with the Christian faith to communities across Africa.”
How your gift reaches East Africa
Canadian charities working internationally must follow the Income Tax Act’s rules for resources sent abroad, including the qualifying-disbursement rules introduced in 2022. In practice, for KGM this means: we work across East Africa through trusted local partners — overseen year-round by our East Africa Director — under clear written expectations; funds are applied exclusively to the charitable work described above; records and reporting flow back to our Board; and the Board of Directors retains full discretion and oversight over every allocation. Our annual T3010 information return, filed with the CRA, is public.

Reports
We publish an annual report donors can actually read — what came in, what went out, and what it accomplished.
2025 Annual Report — “God’s Plans Never Fail” (PDF)
2025 Financial Statements — year ended December 31, 2025 (PDF)
Earlier reports are available on request. Want something we haven’t published yet? Ask — we answer.
Receipts
Official donation receipts for income tax purposes are issued for every eligible gift: instantly by email through CanadaHelps for online gifts, and directly by Knowing God Missions for Interac e-Transfers and cheques. Receipts are issued in the charity’s registered name with our registration number — exactly as the CRA requires.
Our board
Knowing God Missions is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors responsible for every allocation of funds and the oversight of all programs:
| Fidele Bolton | Chair of the Board · Founder |
|---|---|
| Claire Bolton | Vice-Chair & President |
| Jeanne Quinn | Director |
We are actively recruiting board members with skills in governance and regulatory compliance, financial management, and communications. If God is nudging you toward that kind of service, we would love to talk.
